Johannes was a son of Jacobus Turk, baptized on 16 May 1687 in the Reformed Dutch Church of Albany, New York. DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Johannes by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Johannes:
Turck-108 and Turck-15 appear to represent the same person because: These profiles very much appear to be the same person. Same name, same dates, son Benjamin. Turck-108 lacks geographic location but they do appear to be the same person. Please review this thoroughly and use the Comments section on one or the other profile if there is any concern about the two profiles being merged.
Father was named Turck (his baptismal name), so based on that, correct LNAB for his children is Turck as well, added Turk to current name field and merged duplicates into this one . Added project as manager as well now.
And it's entirely possible that a baptism in Kingston was recorded in the Albany church.
(It's always surprising to me when a source like that Van Benthuysen Genealogy has an error like that error on the baptism location.)
