My gedmatch is H340934. I am very interested in how you use that info on gedmatch. I have a nephew that has x chromosome test that we don't know how to use.

Hi Ayslsie,

My GEDmatch is WN3640162. I just compared it with yours, but it showed no match. My connection is through the Jones family, so it was a long shot but you never know.

Best Regards, George

Also- I have several tests from my Coates relatives on Gedmatch. What is your Gedmatch #? You list that you have a test from My Heritage, so your test number is an H with 6 numbers after it - e.g., H123456

Hello!

I am really interested in your profile for Jeremiah Coats. There are two men in my family named Jeremiah Coates (one born in 1817, the other in 1840). The Jeremiah born in 1840 was living in St. Louis in 1867:

As far as I know neither Jeremiah Coats that I have were not in St. Louis. Both mine were in southern Missouri around Douglas County.

Thanks for your reply. Benjamin F is listed very frequently in people's trees. My great grandfather Newton was born 1848 and passed in 1902. I have newspaper clippings indicating my grandfather and brother visiting because he was very ill. That was a week before his death. So I'm confident Newton is connected. Haven't found Newtons family.

I did not know my grandfather or mother on my fathers side of the family. I was named after my fathers mother so I have a curiosity about her life. I hope to answer questions my nieces and nephews and children may ask at a later date.

Looking for Turleys in southern Missouri and southeaster Kansas. Great-grandfather was Newton "Newt" Turley, born in Missouri, parents from Indiana (Census). His family is currently unknown.
