Found a 1973 interview with Elijah Clinton Turman on YouTube. I added a link on his profile if you want to check it out.

Ken, Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, thus coordinating with others is essential.

These seem to fit your ancestors: US Southern Colonies Project (Leader is Paula J), and Virginia Project with Leader- Liz Shifflett. Click the link to read how to join.

Or use the Pre-1700 Projects list, located at the top of your page, 4th topic on right, under <Find> and <Projects>.

For questions, just ask!

Have the tips in the New Member How-Tos been helpful? Most of us still have some questions after reviewing them.

Thanks for adopting the Orphaned Profiles. This After Adopting Orphans FAQ explains the special attention those profiles need. Let me know if you have questions on how to find and record sources, merge duplicates, clean up gedcom biographies, or interpret the Suggestions report.

I'm here to help! Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page or send a private message.

Hi Ken it shows we are 8th cousins 1x removed through the Martin's. Just thought I'd say hello.

So after a bit of connecting, it turns out we're 6th Cousins Twice Removed. But you and my wife, Valley, are 3rd Cousins!

Let me know if you have any questions!

Hey Ken,

Welcome to WikiTree! Good to have another Patrick County Boy hanging around the tree. Have you seen Silas Truman's memoir "Forever Grateful"? I just recently got a copy of it through my wife's grandparent's estate. I've scanned it and would be happy to share if you're interested. Are you still in the area of Meadows of Dan? I heard Tuggle's Creek flooded pretty bad during the rains from Florence, but have not made it back up there yet to survey the damage. We maintain the old family farm of Mat Burnette across from Concord Primitive Baptist Church, and the creek runs right through our pasture. Got quite a few more photos to sort, scan, edit, and upload in the coming weeks! Let me know if you have any questions or need any help getting around here at WikiTree.
