Elizabeth was born in 1853 in Sunderland[1], mother's maiden name Robson.
In 1861, at the time of the census, Elizabeth was 7.[2] She lived at 32 Malings Rigg, Sunderland, with her widowed father, three siblings and a housekeeper, her mother's sister Martha Robson.
Joseph and Elizabeth lived at 13, Hamilton St, Monkwearmouth, Sunderland at the time of the 1881 census, with five children ages 8-1.[5] They had moved to 2, Dame Dorothy Street, Monkwearmouth Shore, Sunderland, now with 9 children, ages 18-6 months.[6] At the time of the 1901 England and Wales census they were living at 14 Huddlestone Street, Monkwearmouth, Sunderland, with eight of their children, ages 24-5.[7] Joseph was a shipwright. In 1911 Elizabeth was 57, living at 77 Dock Street East, Monkwearmouth, Sunderland, with Joseph and four of their children, plus the husband and two children of daughter Lilly.[8]
Elizabeth was widowed in 1916 and passed away in 1920, in Sunderland, age 67.[9]
