Margaret Turnbull was born February 15, 1855 in Crookham, Northumberland, England and was christened on December 26th in Ford, Northumberland.[1][2] She was the daughter of William Turnball and Agnes Walker of Coldstream, Berwick, Scotland.
Margaret was named after her maternal grandmother, Margaret Rae.
She married Alexander Bell and had the following children, all in Berwickshire, Scotland:
In 1881, she was living in Coldingham, Coldstream, Berwickshire, Scotland with her husband Alexander and children Alexander and Agnes.[4]
In 1891 she was living in Duns, Berwickshire, Scotland with her husband Alexander; children Alexander, Agnes, William, Andrew, Maggie, Isabella, and newborn Thomas; and her mother, Agnes Turnbull.[5]
In 1901 she was living in Duns with her husband Alexander and children William, Andrew, Margaret, Isabella, Thomas, Robert, Alice, James, and newborn Janet.[6]
