Biography

JAMES OVERTON TURNER, son of Josiah Hunter Turner & Drusilla Price Philpott, was born in Franklin county, Virginia on May 01,1816, 45 years before the American Civil War (James Madison's 8th year as 4th U.S.President). At age 22 he married Sarah G Cahill in Henry county, Virginia on Sep 15,1838. They had 10 children before he died of measles, Dec13,1864, while fighting in the Civil War (Abraham Lincoln's 4th year as 16th President). His burial place is unknown.
