She married Francis Goodchild in 1847 at Ely, Cambridgshire. [3]
The family, Francis and Susan and two children arrived in New South Wales on 6 October 1848 as Bounty Immigrants on the 'Charlotte Jane'.[4] Francis was 23, Susan 22, and two children - Elizabeth (2) and William (an infant). Francis and William were recorded as being born in Islam, Cambridgeshire (probably Isleham), Susan and Elizabeth were born in Feltwell, Norfolk. Francis' parents were William and Betty (father living); Susan's were George and Susan, living at Feltwell.[5]
Following Francis' death in 1880, Susan married a second time to James McDonald at Goulburn in 1882. [6]
