Catherine was born in 1827 in Argyll, Scotland. She was the daughter of Neil Turner and Janet Culbertson[1]
She married Hugh McEachran in 1853. [2]
They came to Canada in 1854. After four years they moved to Illinois and became part of the Scottish Settlement at Argyle, Illinois.[3]
SUDDEN DEATH AT ARGLE Mrs. Hugh McEachran Expires of Heart Disease
Mrs. Hugh McEachran of Argyle, died Friday evening at her home in the village of heart disease. She seated herself on the edge of her bed to remover her shoes preparatory to retiring and fell over dead in a moment.
She was a woman of nearly 7 years old and leaves a husband and several children. The funeral will be held this morning at 11 o'clock from the Argyle church. [4]
