Biography

John Ramsey Turner was born about 1861. He is the son of Johnson (or Johnston) Turner and his wife Eliza (or Elizabeth) Maines (Mains, Maynes). [1] Prior to 1880 John moved with his family from Indiana to Illinois. [2] In Illinois John first married Nancy Ann Ginger, 1885. [3] In 1893 he married Clara Doty. [4]And in 1899, Sarah Alice Absher. In 1900 and 1910 they are enumerated on the federal census in Richland County, Illinois. [5] [6]
