Biography

Rachel was born 19 Oct 1758 in Rowan, North Carolina. She was the daughter of Thomas Turner and Catherine Smith. In March of 1779 she married Samuel Barnes. They had approximately 8 children. Eventually moving to Madison, KY, it is here she passed away in 1834. Her burial details are unknown. She may have been buried at a family homestead. [1]
