Biography

William Albert Turner was born around 1879 in Gunnedah, New South Wales, Australia, the son of Henrietta (Semann) Turner.[citation needed]

He married Alice Louisa Styles on 17 November 1897 in Prahran, Victoria.[1] They had three children. Sadly, Frederick Charles died in infancy.

On 25 August 1915 he enlisted for service in the Australian Imperial Force for service during World War I. He was discharged on 9 November 1915 as medically unfit for service due to sciatica. On his application form he declared that he had been separated from his wife, Alice, for eleven years and that she was living with Herbert Croft.

William died on 5 April 1965 in South Yarra, Victoria. [2]
