Good morning Amelia ... (guess it will be evening over where you are) ... my apologies ... that information about the place of death was NOT meant to go there ... I record most of my research on Ancestry where I have more than 100 private trees ... I do however follow some of the Wiki Tree activity particularly that relating to the UTTINGs who I have spent a lot of time researching ... I was following up a DNA match with someone from Australia who claimed to be descended from Thomas UTTING born 1813 (Utting-491) son of Robert UTTING (Utting-344) ... I was trying to put this place of death on the record of Thomas UTTING (Utting-491) and it ended up in the record of Robert UTTING (Utting-344) as well somehow ... I must have been getting sleepy when I did that but I have now taken it out of Utting-344 again ... I have also taken it out of Utting-491 as well as when I look more closely at my DNA match's tree I can see she has mixed up two different Thomas UTTINGs ... her Thomas UTTING should be the son of a William UTTING ... sorry for the confusion ... I will write again in due course with some questions I have for you arising from my DNA research on the UTTINGs ... Best wishes Brian J Turner Shropshire UK

Hi Brian,

Could you please explain the change you've made to Robert Utting (Utting-344)'s place of death? I've found absolutely no evidence that he even went to Australia, let alone died there, and it would be extremely odd seeing as his wife Rebecca died a widow back in Norfolk.

I have found your William on my extended family tree, so yes we are cousins. Info on the family tree is mainly from my first cousin Heather, on other sites. There are some names I can suggest for your line and for you to confirm if you wish. The other Utting family we know of in Canada is so far unconnected - I believe based around Waterloo Ontario.
