Biography
Nancy was born about 1795. She passed away before 1840.
Amos married Nancy Turner about 1812 probably in Spartanburg County, South Carolina. A marriage record has not been found as yet. He is named as father and Unknown Turner is named as mother on death certificate of daughter Jane Cooper who passed away in 1912.[1]
In 1820 Amos and Nancy (listed as age 16-25) and their family were living in Spartanburg County, South Carolina. In the household were children one son and two daughters under age 10, one daughter age 10-15; one adult male age 45 or over who may be the father of either Amos or Nancy.[2]
In 1830 Amos and Nancy (listed as age 30-39) were living in Laurens County, South Carolina. In the household were one son age 10-14, one daughter under age 5, and two daughters age 5-9.[3]
