(6 Oct 1953). ACCIDENT REPORT. Elderly Women Badly Hurt At Cottesloe. Two elderly women-and a man were seriously injured last night when a motor cycle knocked down two women in Stirling highway, Cottesloe. The women are Harriett Cann (88), widow, of Irvine-street, Cottesloe, and Frances Emily Crawford (60), widow, of the same address. A St. John ambulance rushed the unconscious women to the Fremantle Hospital where they were admitted immediately to a ward. Both women have possible fractured skulls and Mrs. Cann also has a compound fractured right leg and a lacerated right hand.
DEATH REPORT. Second Victim Dies. The second victim of a motorcycle accident in Stirling-highway, Cottesloe on October 6, died in the Fremantle hospital on Saturday morning. She is Harriett Cann (88), widow, of Irvine-street, Cottesloe. She and another woman were knocked down by the motorcycle. The other woman died several days after the accident.
