Biography

John Turner was born on 16 Nov 1751 in New London, Connecticut Colony[1], son of John Turner Sr. (1728 - <1817) and Bathsheba (Whipple) Turner (1731 - 1806).

His siblings were:

  1. Elizabeth (Turner) Miner (1753 - )
  2. Eleanor (Turner) Sweet (1757 - )
  3. James Turner (1757 - )
  4. Bathsheba (Turner) Robinson (1777 - 1856)

John married Bathsheba Culver (born in New Jersey about 1765; died in New Brunswick, Canada). Their children were:

  1. William B Turner (~1798 - ~1890)
  2. Jonas C Turner (~1807 - ~1882).

John married Anne Witter (born in New London on 18 Feb 1750; died in Harvey, Westmorland, New Brunswick on 4 Jun 1822). Their children were:

  1. Joseph Witter Turner (1788 - 1835)
  2. Isaac Turner (1794 - 1883).

John died on 14 Sep 1814 in Albert, Albert County, New Brunswick aged 62. He is buried in Bay View Cemetery, Harvey.[2]
