Biography

James was born in 1856. He was the son of William Turner and Jennett Muter. He passed away in 1880.

His estate was probated in Ionia County, Michigan and the application dated September 3, 1880, filed by his brother William M. Turner, states that the heirs at law of James D. Turner are: William Turner of Sunfield, Eaton County, and State of Michigan, father of said deceased. This suggests that James was unmarried and did not leave any surviving children. Edwin Bishop (his brother-in-law) administered the estate.[1]
