Charles was born in 1883, the first child of Levi Turner and Cordelia Mizer.[1]
I don't believe he ever married, for he is shown with his parents, single, in the 1900, 1910, and 1920 census. In 1930, Charles was on the census, age 46, living by himself in Crawford Township, Coshocton County, Ohio. He was single, worked as a farm laborer, and owned the farm.[2] The 1940 Census shows Charles (56, single, miner) living in the same location. He had attended school for 8 years and owned a farm he valued at $500.[3] His two brothers, Elmer and Edward, were next door. They were also single and owned a farm, which they valued at $2,000.
He passed away 18 July 1953,[4] according to his obituary in The Coshocton Tribune on 19 Jul 1953[5]. Charles is buried at South Lawn Cemetery in Coshocton County, Ohio.[6]
