Biography
Belle was born in 1872.
Her father, Warren Gray Turner, had met Belle Boyd during the Civil War. Boyd served as a spy for the CSA. Turner was impressed, and named his first daughter after this woman. [1]
Belle was educated in art and music at Peace Institute in Raleigh. [2]
Belle was organist at First Baptist Church of Morganton. [3]
She died in 1966, and was buried at Forest Hill Cemetery in Morganton. [4]
