Joseph's birth was recorded at Middleboro on 23 July 1738, and he died after 26 August 1766 when he was mentioned in the will of his grandmother, Hannah (Hatch)(Turner)(Tinkham) Tupper. Joseph married Mercy French in Middleboro on 5 October 1757. Their son and only child, Joshua Turner, was born there on 13 December 1757.
