Biography

John Turner is/was a significant British Columbian.

John's marriage to Elizabeth Eilbeck was registered in London City in the first quarter of 1860[1].

At the time of the 1881 Canada Census, John H, Elizabeth, and Jno Arthur Turner were listed as living in Victoria, British Columbia, along with one other person[2]. At the time of the census, John's occupation was listed as "Merchant".

At the time of the 1891 Canada Census, John H, Elizabeth, and J. A. Turner were listed as living in Victoria, British Columbia, along with a domestic[3]. At the time of the census, John's occupation was listed as "Finance Minister".

At the time of the 1901 Canada Census, John H, and Elisabeth Turner were listed as living in Victoria, British Columbia, along with a domestic[4]. At the time of the census, John's occupation was listed as "Merchant".

John died in Richmond, Surrey on 9 December 1923, and was buried in Kensal Green Cemetery[5].
