Biography

Catherine was born in about 1719 in Providence, Rhode Island, the daughter of William and Catherine (Jenckes) Turpin.[1]

She married Capt. John Hopkins, son of William and Ruth (Wilkinson) Hopkins and brother of Governor Stephen Hopkins. John died at sea in 1745 and then Catherine married second Dr. Job Hawkins.

She lived 30 years, 2 months, and five days until the time of her death on December 20, 1749.[2]
