Alfred Leslie Turvey born 9 November 1884 and baptised 19 April 1885 in Ladybrand, Orange Free State. He was the son of George Henry Turvey and Florence Annie Kightley.[1]
He named in the death notice of his father in 1914.[2]
He died in Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, on 24 October 1918, aged 33. He left a surviving wife, Kathleen Mary Wyburd born Furrell, who he had married in Ladybrand. He also left three minor children - James Glores (born 14 June 1913), Lyndony George Sidney (born 9 May 1915) and Cynthia Kathleen (born 24 May 1918).[3]
