Arthur Turvey Died in Military Service during World War I.
Arthur Edward Turvey, son of Wallace and Clare Turvey, was christened in Birmingham on 3 April 1898.[1]
Arthur Turvey was living in 1901, aged 3, with his parents in Birmingham.[2]
He was still in Birmingham in 1911, living with his parents.[3]
He joined the King's Royal Rifle Corps in 1915 after the outbreak of World War 1, giving his age on the enlistment form as 19.[4] He died on 9 May 1915 (possibly at the Battle of Aubers) and is commemorated at the Le Touret Memorial in France.[5]
