Biography
William Turvey was Killed in Action during World War I.
William was born in 1886 in Gawcott, Buckinghamshire, England. He was the son of George Turvey and Sarah Ann Clarke.[1]
William's mother, Sarah Ann Clarke died in 1889, after the birth of her third child.[2]
Unfortunately, Ernest also died in this third quarter of 1889.[3]
William's father, George, had two young children to care for and married Sarah Ann Dagley in the first quarter of 1890 in Buckingham, Buckinghamshire, England.[4]

Rifleman William Turvey (31), son of George Turvey and Sarah Ann (Clarke) Turvey and step-son of Sarah Anne (Dagley) Turvey, of Preston Bissett, Buckingham, of the Rifle Brigade died in Greece on 15 Dec 1917. He is commemorated at the Struma Military Cemetery.[7]
William died on 15 December 1917 in Balkans. The service number was S/17073.[8]
