Biography

William Turvey was Killed in Action during World War I.

William Francis Turvey was born in Gloucester in 1894.[1]

He was living there with his parents in 1901[2] and 1911.[3]

He married Violet Hill in Gloucester in 1915.[4]

He enlisted with the Gloucestershire Reserves Regiment in 1915,[5] later serving with the Royal Welsh Fusiliers.[6]

He died of wounds on 26 June 1917 in Belgium and is commemorated at the Ferme-Olivier Cemetery.[7]
