Biography

William Turvey was Killed in Action during World War I.

William Francis Turvey was born in Gloucester in 1894.^[1]

He was living there with his parents in 1901^[2] and 1911.^[3]

He married Violet Hill in Gloucester in 1915.^[4]

He enlisted with the Gloucestershire Reserves Regiment in 1915,^[5] later serving with the Royal Welsh Fusiliers.^[6]

He died of wounds on 26 June 1917 in Belgium and is commemorated at the Ferme-Olivier Cemetery.^[7]
