Henry Birth: 1 MAY 1665 in Southold, Long Island, Suffolk Co, NY Death: 4 JAN 1750 in Oysterponds/Orient, Long Island, Suffolk Co, NY, a son of John TUTHILL b: 16 JUL 1635 in Southold, Long Island, Suffolk Co, NY and Deliverance KING b: 31 AUG 1640 in Salem, Essex Co, MA.

The Tuthill Family of Tharston, Norfolk County, England and Southold, Suffolk County, New York: Also Written Totyl, Totehill, Tothill, Tuttle, Etc. 1580-1757, by Lucy Dubois Akerly, privately printed, Newburgh, N.Y. 1898: "Henry was Justice of the Peace, and owned land in the towns of Southold and Brookhaven. The subject of the marriage date of Henry and Bethia is discussed in Keith's Ancestry of Benjamin Harrison. The daughter Rebecca attributed to Henry, in Moore's Index of Southold Genealogies, is doubtless only an error of type, as Henry's will (Lib. 17, p. 118, N. Y. City Wills) cited as authority, does not contain the word Rebecca. Issue, all of Southold Town."

Tuthill-752 and Tuthill-4 appear to represent the same person because: Same birth and death dates and places, same father. Daughter Bethiah with same spouse on both profiles. Spouse on -752 appears incorrect. Please merge

Tuttle-507 and Tuthill-4 appear to represent the same person because: per Alva Tuthill's “Tuttle and Tuthill Lines in America" the Henry Tuthill who was Bethia Tuthill Landon's father was the son of John (-5) and brother of John(-98).
