John Tuthill was the son of Henry Tuthill and Bridget (surname unknown), born 16 July, 1635. He may have been born in England. His brother Daniel is listed as baptized in Hingham in 1640.

His father Henry "sold his lot in Hingham 20 June, 1644, and doubtless came to Southold".

I'm finding confusion about the children of John Tuthill-5 and John Tuthill-98. According to "Tuttle and Tuthill Lines in America" Compiled by Alva M Tuthill, Published in 1968 by the Compiler John-98's children were: john b c 1685, Mary b c 168 7, josh b c 1690, James b c 1692, Dorothy b c 1694, Freegift b August 8 1698, Daniel b c 1700, Jemima(Hannah?) b c 1703. John-5's children are listed as: John-98 b Feb 14 1658, Elizabeth b Jan 19 1661, Henry b May 1 1665, Hannah b Nov 7 1667, Abigail b Oct 17 1670, Daniel b Jan 23 1680, Nathaniel b Nov 10 1683. Also Sarah Frost was John-5's second wife not John-98's according to the same source.

I'd like to collaborate with anybody who wants to get this all sorted out.
