Biography
Benoni was born in 1780. He is the son of Enos Twitchell and Relief Fairbank. According to the Genealogy of the Twitchell Family below, it was believed that the first wife of an uncle of Benoni, who was also named Benoni died and that uncle married a second wife, named Zilpah Woodward, on Feb. 13, 1800 (the uncle would have been 55 years of age on this wedding day), and they had one child: Dorothy, b. May 2, 1800. (Page 101) However, it seems possible that that Benoni (the uncle) was confused with this Benoni.
