Mary R. was born Sept. 1861 in Maryland. In 1870, Thomas and Mary Twilley were farming in Dorchester County in Maryland. At home were three children, Sarah (12), Mary (8) and Laura H (3). All were natives of Maryland.
Mary was the wife of Samuel James Seymour. They married January 5, 1880 in Dorchester, Maryland. By 1900 she had 7 children, 5 alive in 1900. In 1910 they lived in Baltimore - just Samuel and Mary. By 1910 there were 4 of the 7 children alive.
In 1924, they moved Herald Harbor, MD, where Samuel constructed many homes, including their own home.
In 1920, Henry T and Irene Williams were living on West Lexington St in Baltimore. Henry was working as a clerk at a railroad office. The couple rented their home. In residence with the couple were son, Harvey (8) and daughter, Bernice (5) as well as Irene's mother Mary Seymour (58), a clerk with a drug company, and her brother Tillman (24) who was employed as a clerk at a railroad office.
Mary Rebecca Twilley Seymour died at the age of 80 on January 19, 1942 at Baltimore. Place of burial is unknown, info is from a memorial which also indicates Mary was the daughter of Thomas Twilley and Mary E. Thompson, and the mother of Mary Irene, Ada Rebecca, Lula Mae, Florence Louise, and Samuel Tilghman
