Biography
Royal Thaxter Twombly, 1813 Poland, Maine ~ 1885 Fort Worth, Texas, was the son of William Twombly and Dorothy Sampson. He married Mary Parker McLellan on 3 September 1837 in Gorham, Cumberland, Maine. They had six children born between 1839 and 1852. [1]
Royal T. Twombly was born in Portland, Maine in 1813. He settled in Niles, Michigan in 1837, and was a merchant. He served as Senator from Berrien County, Michigan in 1853, and was mayor of Niles in 1877. Twombly died on 14 October 1885. [2]
Royal T. Twombly and Mary T. McLellan were married on 3 September 1837 in Gorham, Cumberland, Maine. [3]
