John Tyler was a Quaker and emigrated with his father and his siblings by mother Joan/Johanna Parsons. William & Johanna's children were born "in Old England."^[1] John's date of birth in Quaker records is 5-2-1682.

John was alive when named in his father's 1700 will.^[2]
