Charles Tyler was born in 1730 according to his tombstone in the Tyler Cemetery in Elon,Madison Heights, Amherst County, VA. Burial site is on the north side of Ruth Dr., Madison Heights, VA just north of Lynchburg, VA. Find A Grave WEB site refers to it as the Davies Cemetery, Amherst and also as the Tyler Family Cemetery. Amherst County Virginia USA He put an add in the newspaper indicating his wife Mary had eloped from him and he was longer responsible for her.
