Biography

Mary was born in 13 September 1788 the daughter of (Col.) Comfort and Elizabeth (Brown) Tyler of Onondaga County, New York.

Colonel Tyler was a noted man in his day. He was one of the first settlers of Onondaga County.[1]

She married George Olmsted who was from "Onondaga Valley," and area just south of the City of Syracuse. They had four children: George, Elizabeth, Mary, and Charles.

George served as Onondaga County Clerk 1808-1810. The family moved to Janesville, a little to the east of Onondaga Valley.

George died in 1840 and Mary went to live with her daughter Elizabeth in Troy, Rensselaer County, New York

Mary died 18 July 1870 in Troy and is buried in the Oakwood Cemetery there near her daughters Elizabeth Olmsted and Mary Tracy. [2]

Tyler-6353 and Tyler-6107 appear to represent the same person because: These seem to be the same person and should be merged.
