Information about William Tyler, and his wife Mary and children, is found in History of Wallingford (published in 1870, pages 923–924). William purchased "the mills at Yalesville," in Wallingford, Connecticut, in 1703. His many children were born between 1695 and 1722. His wife Mary died in 1754. This source says that his daughter Mehitable Tyler married Stephen Merwin, but this is incorrect (a different Mehitable Tyler, born Mehitable Clark, was married first to a Joseph Tyler and then to Stephen Merwin).
