Herbert was born in 1898. He was the son of Charles Tyner and Lula Ross. In 1900, Herbert was living in Downs, McLean, Illinois with his parents and siblings and his paternal grandmother. [1] In 1918, when he registered for the draft, he was a farmer living in McLean, Illinois. He listed his mother as his closest relative which means he was likely not married. [2]He passed away in 1961. [3]
