Amos Tyo, a lifelong resident of Massena, died at his home, about a mile east of Massena Springs, Tuesday morning at 7, as a result of an attack of grip from which he had suffered for about two weeks. The funeral will be held from Sacred Heart church Friday morning and the remains placed in the vault at Calvary cemetery. Mr. Tyo was a native ot the town of Bombay, being a son of the late Peter Tyo of that town. When a young man he was married to Miss Elisabeth Sova of Hoansburg. They have spent most of their married life in that town. Besides his widow, Mr. Tyo is survived by seven children, Charles of Fulton, Samuel of Louisville, Albert of Brasher, Augustus of Norfolk and Lawrence of Massena, Mrs. C. L. Barrett of Nyando and Harriet, who lives at home; three brothers and three sisters, Augustus Tyo of Ludlow, Vt., Joseph of Louisville, Peter of Massena, Mrs. Stephen Dowe of Raymondville. Mrs. Edward Derouchia of Fort Covington and Mrs. Henry Amo of Massena.
