Biography

Thomas Joseph Tyson was born in 1862 in Oxford in Oxfordshire (probably in St Clements in east Oxford), the son of George Tyson and his wife Winifred, born Winifred Harris [1] [2].

In 1871, Thomas was living at 12 Hampden Road in Islington in London with his parent and two other sons. His age was given as 10, implying a birth date in 1860 or 1861. [His true age seems to be 8.] His birthplace was given as Oxford. He was at school [2].
