Note that the funerary hatchment mentions 1790 as the date of birth. Still, the cited baptism record is very likely correct: (1) all the names match, (2) the peculiar spelling used by the Tótth family is recorded, (3) while the names are not uncommon, both parents are mentioned as noblemen (D.), which is less common, and (4) the father, László Totth has been in the employment of the Esterházy family for some time, so it is not surprising that he appears in another Esterházy estate (even though far from his previous home in Buda).
