About 1722, Jacob Beiler remarried to Barbara Feronica Yoder (~1698- 1737). They had the following children, all born in Switzerland:

  1. Barbara Ann (~1723- 1781) m Christian Yoder (1722-1816)
  2. Anna (~1726- ~1804) m Jacob Yoder (~1726- ~1790)
  3. Christian (1729-1812) m1 Elizabeth Yoder (~1729- 1771), m2 Barbara Yoder ~1738-1780).
  4. Maria (~1732- )
  5. Elizabeth (~1732- ~1762).

They arrived in Pennsylvania on board the "Charming Nancy" on 8 Oct, 1737.[3]

Research Notes

The name Veronica was commonly given the nickname of "Franny" or something similar, in this case "Ferona" or "Verona". According to "Family History and Genealogy of Pioneer Jacob Beiler, 1698-1771" by Allen R. Beiler:

"Soon after they arrived, Veronica passed away and is most likely buried on the Irish Valley Homestead that Jacob had obtained by warrant from the Penn Brothers. The warrant was for 178 acres of land in Bern Township, Berk County, PA and was patented in 1739. Soon after Veronica's death, Jacob married Elizabeth Kallen."

Gingerich, Hugh F. & Kreider, Rachel W. Amish & Amish Mennonite Genealogies © 2007 lists no daughter Ferona for Jacob(Bieler-4). In footnote 4 0n p. 54 the ship list has for women and children Verona, Barbara, Anna, Christopher, Maria, and Elisabeth. The first person (Verona) is Jacob's wife Verena (Siber-59). This profile has been edited to reflect the birth year of the mother and should be merged into Siber-59. -- Bruce Fosnocht

Byler-91 and Siber-59 appear to represent the same person because: Gingerich, Hugh F. & Kreider, Rachel W. Amish & Amish Mennonite Genealogies © 2007 lists no daughter Ferona for Jacob(Bieler-4). The respected reference work Gingerich, Hugh F. & Kreider, Rachel W. Amish & Amish Mennonite Genealogies © 2007, on page 54, lists Veronica(last name unknown) as the second wife of Jacob Beiler. This seems to be the source for creation of Unknown-31435. The same work lists 5 children for her, with dates.

I have just gone through the change list for Unknown 31435 and nothing new was added since it's creation, which had no dates. The profile contains no information and remains unsourced. Thus there can be no discrepancies with Siber -59.

I have created Siber-59 based on her marriage record, which is now added to her profile. What else do you need to proceed?
