Henry Edward Udale was born in 1913 in Wirksworth, Derbyshire, the son of Henry Udale and Florence (nee Spencer) Udale[1]
At the time of the 1939 Census Henry was living at 48 Gorsey Bank, Wirksworth, Derbyshire with his step-mother Lily Udale and half-sister Kathleen Udale[2]
Private Henry Edward Udale of 1st Battalion, West Yorkshire (Prince of Wales Own) Regiment died on 12 March 1944 while on active military service. His death is commemorated at the Rangoon Memorial, Myanmar, Burma. His service record at the time of his death give his home address as 48 Gorsey Bank, Derbyshire. Probate was administered in London on 19 July 1946 and cited his half sisters Kathleen Udale and Minnie Udale, both spinsters[3][4]
