Christened Week St Mary 11.11.1770 (OPC website) She is mentioned in the Will of her mother

Married Week St Mary 30.5.1793 (Phillimore) OPC transcription gives date as 13.5.1793. Marriage was by banns, and both parties signed. His residence is given as Launceston. Witnesses were William Uglow presumably her brother) and A.Clifton.

The Launceston directory for 1793-1798 contains two John Rogers, a schoolmaster and a cordwainer. The first is clearly this John.

Of the children, Elizabeth's and John's christenings are shown in the 'FreeReg' transcripts for Launceston St Mary (John's second name being presumably a reference to Agnes' mother's maiden name). Sophia Jane's christening is recorded in a transcript of the St Stephen-by-Launceston parish register - she appears in the 1841 census in Launceston as an unmarried shopkeeper, and as the wife of William Wevill at North Hill in 1861 (with sister Elizabeth staying with her). Sophia's and Harriet's are also given in the OPC database in this parish. John Turner Rogers was buried in 1813, aged 16. It seems probable that there were further children in between, who may not have survived. (There is for example a son Edward christened to John Rogers and Agnes in 1809 at St Germans, although this seems rather far away). Note that the North Hill household in 1861 also includes a John Rogers born at Week St Mary in about 1839 - a possible grandson of John's? There are also records of a John Rogers marrying Mary Prout at Jacobstow in 1825, and of a William Rogers, also a schoolmaster, and his wife Elizabeth having a son John Uglow Rogers christened at Week St Mary in 1825. (Could these facts suggest that they moved back to the village between their known residences at St Mary and St Stephen?)

Buried St Stephen by Launceston (OPC website) She is recorded as aged 68, residence Newport
