William was born in 1847. William Uhde passed away in 1919.

Obituary

William Uhde, an old resident of this community, died on Monday morning of last week at the home of his daughter, Mrs Will Thake, three miles east of State Center, of the infirmities of age. He had been ill for several months but bedfast for on a couple of days.

Mr Uhde was a native of Germany, where he was born February 7, 1847, in Hagenbeck, Brunswick. He came to this county in 1865 and settled at French Grove. On January 5, 1873 at the French Grove Lutheran church he was united in marriage with Miss Matilda Bader, who died May 20, 1918.

Six children survive Mr Uhde. They are Mrs Will Thake, Henry Uhde, Alma Uhde, Mrs H C Kutzner, Mrs H A Buschbom and Mrs Parker Perry.
