Uhlman, Norman Lewis 82, Greenwood Village, died June 15, 1997, in Soldiers MemorialHospital, Middleton. Born in Torbrook, he was a son of the late Martin and Clare (McNayre) Uhlman. He was a member of IOOF Lodge #65, Kingston; Wilmot Men's Choir; Wilmot United Baptist Church; trustee of Greenwood Village and Kingston Village School Board; chairman Greenwood Village Home and School, and the Carpenter's Union, Local 403. He was a retired carpenter at CFB Greenwood after 26 years. He was instrumental in initiating and building Church in the Pines, Greenwood Village. Surviving are his wife, the former Olive Johnson; sons, David, Kingston, Jamaica; James, Malcolm, Greenwood Village;Murray, Halifax; Gary, Niagara Falls; Stephen, Grand Bay, N.B.; brother, Cecil, Middleton; seven grandchildren; a great-grandchild. He was predeceased by son, Phillip; brothers, Percy, Roy, Murray, Caroll, Mack; sister, Minnie. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, funeral 2 p.m. Wednesday, both in Warren T. Roop Funeral Home, Middleton, Rev. Fred Bigelow officiating. Burial in Tremont Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Wilmot United Baptist Church.
