Biography

Tetje Eiken Ukena was born in 1819, daughter of Eike Fooken Ukena (1793–1870) and Antje Peters Heyen (1787–1862).

Tetje married Meinerts Jansen Redenius (born about 1818; son of Johann Alberts Redenius and Gretje (Meinerts) Redenius).[1]

Their known children were:

Many of Tetje's children immigrated to the United States. After her husband's death, she immigrated to the United States along with her youngest son, George, arriving October 31, 1881 and settled in Illinois near her children.[2][3]

Tetje died in Schwer, Iroquois Co, IL.
