Henry was born in 1844. He was the son of John Ulery and Elizabeth Helvie. Henry enlisted for service as a private in the US Civil War on 1 Jul 1863. He joined Company F, 116th Infantry and mustered out 1 Mar 1864.
After returning home, Henry married Mary J Reed arond 1868 and together they had five children, Anna, Jacob, Ada, Grace and Elsie. He was farming in the 1870 & 1880 Federal Census'. He married for the second time Mary Oram in 1884 and they had two children, Charles and Leo. Henry married a third time in 1896 to Mary E Watson with no known children. By the 1900 Federal Census he was listed as working as a trunchman for the railroad. He died in 1915 and is buried at Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport, Indiana.
