BETTY HUFF-NEWMAN OBITUARY
Huff-Newman, Betty, passed away at her home in Tustin, CA on March 25th, 2014 from a long battle with cancer. She is survived by her two sons.... She was born Betty Rose Ulmet on December 31st, 1922 in Pierre, South Dakota, and was one of eight siblings. She was married to Wayne Huff for fifty years, and Roy Newman for ten. During her lifetime she was a career nurse, and even after retirement from Gulf Oil, she continued to volunteer her services to the Red Cross, her church, and her community. In whatever spare time she did enjoy, she was an avid puzzler, card player, gamer, property manager, and traveler. She loved being with family and friends, was a wonderful hostess and entertainer, and loved to spend time at her cabin in Barton Flats. She enjoyed anything western, and loved to listen to "Old Timey" music. Her favorite saying was "I'm still in charge here", and she never let anybody forget it! She lived her life with conviction, inspiring those around her, and has left her imprint on all of us. May she rest in peace, and keep the angels in heaven on task! www.fairhavenmemorial.com
