He signed the WW2 draft registration card in 1942 when he was 48 and five foot eight inches tall and weight 168lbs.[11]

He died on December 27, 1993[2][3] , in Pewaukee, Wisconsin[3], at the age of 100, and was buried in his hometown[2].

Obituary:Of Menomonee falls, Mon. Dec. 27, 1993 Age 100 yrs. Beloved husband of the late Susan (nee Schuster). Dear father of Hildegard (Paul) Nennig, Denis (Elinor), Arthur (Dorothy), Mary (Fred) Wick and Firmin (Marge). Preceded in death by one son Roman. Survived by 18 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 1 sister Martha Klein, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral service Thurs. 7 p.m. St. Mary's Church Menomonee Falls. Interment Church Cemetery. In state at the Church only Thurs. 5 p.m. until time of Mass. Gregor was a WW1 veteran and member of the Henrizi-Schneider American Legion Post No. 382.
