Henrietta Smith Unaipon. [1]
Born South Australian Births 1842 - 1906 Book: 99 Page: 31 District: Wel. 22 AUG 1871. Point Mcleay, South Australia, Australia. [2]
Note: #N3.
Note N3Doreen Kartinyeri has a Mary Unaipon born about the same time and place, 7 Aug 1871 at Point Mcleay, as Henrietta Smith Unaipon but makes no mention of Henrietta in her family tree. The Australian Dictionary of Biography does state that David was the 4th of 9 children that his parents had, which does require Mary and Henrietta. Were they twins?! Doreen has that Mary died 8 Dec 1891. Henrietta must have been named after Henrietta Smith of Dunesk, Scotland who sponsored James Reid, the Scottish Free Church missionary who had baptised Henrietta's father James.
