Hi Virginia!

As you have been a member of WikiTree for a few weeks now I thought I would check in to see how you are getting on with the site.

Has the How-to been helpful or left you with any questions? I am here to help with any problems or queries you may have. Just click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page or send me a private message.

Sometimes links don't work in emails. If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile. The links will work from there.

Thanks for signing the Honor Code, Virginia, I hope you discover as much about your family as I have about mine over the last several years.

You might be interested in some of the tips and tricks that we have included in the How-Tos that we share with new members these days. They were created long after you became a member so you never received them.

If you have questions about how WikiTree works, let me know and I will find answers. Just click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.

P.S. If links do not work in an email from WikiTree, try them from the comment section on your profile page.

Hi Virginia,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working within the projects which coordinate them is essential.

Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus, whether time period, location, or topic. Read the goals and tasks of the project and join if it is a good fit.

Add the project tag to your Following list to be kept up to date on any activity that occurs for that project.

Can't find what you're looking for? Let me know, and I can make some suggestions! :-)

Hello Virginia!

I just wanted to take a second to welcome you to the WikiTree family and thank you for volunteering! You're now a confirmed member. There are many great people and resources available here to help you.

If you want to see if you have family here you can do so through the Surname Search.

If you already have or you are planning to upload a GEDCOM, you might want to check out our GEDCOM FAQ.

If I can help in any way, I will certainly do my best! Please don't hesitate to ask :)

Happy hunting!

Through family history we discover the most beautiful tree in the forest of creation—our family tree. ~J. Richard Clarke

Hello all, I'm very excited to be here! I have an old paper family tree that my grandmother put together many years ago. I pulled it out this morning for some strange reason and started plugging names into google and found this site! I see that part of my family tree is already here and I would love to contribute the knowledge my grandmother left me to make it more complete! I have always been interested in finding my roots and love learning about the interesting characters in my family tree!
