Biography

Alice Curtis Underwood was born at Dursley, Gloucestershire, on 29 July 1867.

Her parents were George William Underwood born at Atworth, Wiltshire in 1819, and Matilda Underwood (nee Curtis) born at Bath, Somerset, in 1831, who married at Dursley in 1851 after the death of George’s first wife in 1850.

Alice Curtis Underwood is listed as being aged 3 and living with her parents at Dursley at the 1871 Census.

She married Arthur Lusty at Gloucestershire in 1893.

She died in Henley-upon-Thames the following year on 14 October 1894, and was buried .in Hambleton Parish Church, Buckinghamshire on 17 October 1894.
